Days Between Dates

The number of days between two dates is the end date minus the start date. The calculator turns both dates into day numbers on the calendar and subtracts them, so it works across months, years and leap years without any counting by hand.

By default the start date is day zero and the end date is included, so from Monday to Friday is 4 days. That matches how most people and most contracts count “days between”. If you need every day in the range counted, such as hotel nights versus days of a trip, tick Include the end day to add one.

Months are not all the same length, so the “years, months, days” result counts whole calendar months first and then the days left over, the same way you would read an age. The “months” tile shows the decimal version based on an average month of 30.44 days.
