How to Count Business Days
Every full week has 5 business days, so the quick estimate is weeks × 5. For an exact count, the calculator counts the whole weeks, then checks the leftover days one by one and skips Saturdays and Sundays.
If holidays are switched on, any US federal holiday that falls on a weekday inside the range is removed as well. Holidays that land on a weekend move to their observed weekday, so a Saturday July 4 means Friday July 3 is the day off.
Counting starts the day after the start date. From Monday to the next Monday is 5 business days, not 6.

How are business days counted?
Business days are Monday to Friday. The calculator counts the working days after the start date, up to and including the end date, and can also skip US federal holidays.
Which holidays are skipped?
The 11 US federal holidays, on the day they are observed. When a holiday falls on a Saturday it is observed on the Friday before; on a Sunday, the Monday after. The table below lists this year’s dates.
How do I add business days to a date?
Switch to “Add business days”, pick the start date and enter the number of working days. The result skips weekends (and holidays if ticked). Adding 1 business day to a Friday gives the following Monday.
Is this a working dates calculator for deadlines?
Yes. Many notice periods and delivery windows are measured in business days. Check the rules for your situation, since some count the first day and some do not.
